Why the quiet season is a good time to play

The months after the holidays are the quiet season in the Smokies, usually with lighter traffic on the Parkway and easier tables at dinner. It is also when our rooms have the most open start times.

It suits the trips that do not need summer: retirees traveling midweek, couples getaways, friend groups sharing a cabin, church groups, and families on a long weekend.

A plan that does not depend on the weather

When it is cold, wet, or grey up in the mountains, an hour indoors solving puzzles beats another afternoon in the cabin. We are a block off the Parkway, the rooms are fully indoors, and every game is private to your group.

Dollywood closes for part of the winter; if you are in town while it is closed, we are about 5 miles, 15 to 20 minutes away and running games every day.

Save when you plan ahead

Plan & Save gives a bigger discount the earlier you book online; the current tiers are listed below. After your game, your group also receives a discount code for another room the same day, and two rooms make a proper afternoon out of a grey day.

Questions we hear

Are you open in winter?

Yes. Games run every day, starting at 11 AM. Holiday hours can differ, and the booking calendar always shows what is open.

Is it a good activity for a cold or rainy day?

It is one of the easiest: fully indoors, 60 minutes, private to your group, and a block off the Parkway.

Do you have off-season discounts?

Booking ahead online earns Plan & Save, which grows the earlier you book, and after your game your group receives a discount code for another room booked the same day.

How far are you from Gatlinburg?

About 9 miles, or 20 to 30 minutes depending on Parkway traffic.

Can we book the same day?

Yes, when a room is free. Online booking stays open until 2 hours before each start time, and you can always call (865) 366-1409.

Is an escape room physically demanding?

Escape rooms are mostly looking, thinking, and talking: searching the room, working out codes, and fitting clues together. If anyone in your group uses a wheelchair, walker, or cane, or needs to sit down during the hour, call (865) 366-1409 before you book and we will tell you honestly what each room involves.

What if our plans change?

Contact us at least 24 hours before your game to reschedule, subject to availability. Cancel 48 hours or more ahead for a full refund; the details are on our cancellation policy page.
